Tarpon begin showing up in South Carolina toward the end of May however we typically don’t start offering tarpon charters until the 2nd week in June. The peak of tarpon season lasts from mid July to Mid October depending on the timing of cold fronts and Hurricanes. Most of our tarpon fishing charters depart from the Georgetown Landing Marina in Georgetown South Carolina, however departure location will depend on fish behavior and weather at the time. 2018 tarpon season was one to remember for many of us here in South Carolina.
