Captain Jordan Pate

With a versatile skill set that covers the breadth of saltwater gamefish in Coastal South Carolina, Capt Pate offers a unique opportunity to chase a wide variety of species. From the pursuit of tarpon in the warm months to the intricate art of shallow-water fly fishing for redfish when the waters cool. Always learning and adapting, Capt Pate’s commitment to his craft involves continuous exploration, experimentation, and meticulous logging of his findings to stay at the forefront of the fishing scene.

Captain Thomas Chapman

Since trading the corporate world for the crisp mornings and serene waters of Georgetown, SC, Captain Thomas has established himself as not just an elite fishing guide, but a steward of the fishing community. Living with his wife, Lauren, and their two young children, Miller and Eric, he embodies the balance between pursuing one’s passion and nurturing a family. Captain Thomas is a guide whose love for fishing and the bay’s natural splendor is matched only by his expertise and dedication.

Captain Les Smith

With a rich background in the sportfishing world, particularly his time on the “Painkiller,” a renowned 37’ Bertram from the Georgetown Landing Fishing Fleet, Capt Les’s experience is as vast as the ocean. His dedication to his clients is unparalleled, ready to go the extra mile—or miles—to ensure an exceptional day on the water. A native of Florence, South Carolina, and an alumnus of Presbyterian College, Capt Les was practically born for the outdoors, with a life equally devoted to hunting as to fishing.

Capt Jordan Pate began his guiding career in 2010 and takes a lot of pride in offering a first class guide service to his customers while maintaining a reputation as one of the top fishing guides on the South Carolina Coast. Capt Jordan Pate works hard to ensure his clients enjoy themselves to the point they want to return every year.

Capt Pate is considered a jack of all trades when it comes to guiding. “I’ve spent a lifetime learning to fish for nearly every saltwater gamefish that inhabit Coastal South Carolina waters, if it swims we can catch it. Of all the various species available to us, my favorite pursuit is tarpon when they are present in the warmer months, and transitioning to the shallow water fly fishing for redfish in the colder months. It’s like putting together a big puzzle that is never 100% complete. I’m always learning, trying new techniques, new areas, taking notes and keeping a log book to help me stay ahead of the game”.

Capt Jordan Pate lives in the beachside community of Litchfield Beach with his wife and two kids, who also enjoy fishing, hunting, and surfing.

Captain Thomas has quickly earned a reputation as an elite fishing guide who loves to share his passion for fishing and the natural beauty of Winyah Bay. Born and raised in Gastonia, NC, Thomas’ passion for fishing, fly fishing in particular, escalated when he moved to Boone, NC in 2009 and attended Appalachian State University. After finishing school, Thomas pursued a career as a full-time fly fishing guide for Trophy Water Guide Service where he led float trips on the scenic and prolific South Holston and Watauga Rivers. After moving from Boone to Murrells Inlet in 2014, Capt Thomas began guiding in the Georgetown area while working in the corporate world to pay the bills and start a family. Capt. Thomas now guides full time while living in Georgetown, SC with his wife, Lauren, and two young children Miller and Eric.

Capt. Thomas is not a one trick pony and specializes in Fly Fishing Charters, Family/Kids Fishing Charters, nearshore fishing as well as inshore light tackle fishing.

Like so many young fishing guides, Capt Les Smith brings passion, enthusiasm, and a lot of energy to our crew. Les has a reputation for working one on one with Kids and novice anglers, “Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smile on someone’s face who has just landed a fish of a lifetime”. Capt Les brings a lot of experience from the sportfishing world of fishing where he’s spent countless hours mating onboard the “Painkiller”, an iconic 37’ Bertram from the Georgetown Landing Fishing Fleet. His work ethic is second to none and he is prepared to go the extra mile and more to make sure his clients have a great experience on the water.

Originally from Florence, South Carolina and a graduate of Presbyterian College, Capt Les(also an avid hunter), was born with a shotgun in one hand and a fishing rod in the other. A glass half full kind of guy, his passion for the outdoors is contagious. Les has intimate knowledge of navigating the waters around Winyah Bay and the Santee Delta and enjoys creating memorable fishing experiences with others.
